Liz Sigsworth started training at 16 when she rescued a two year old filly from an abusive home.  Never having any previsous experience, she poured over magazines and books from trainers like John Lyons and Monty Roberts and listened to local horsemen.  After that influential summer and successful rehabilitation, she was forever bitten by the "trainer's bug".  She chose to devote her life to bettering the lives of horses and the people who worked with them.  She attended UW-River Falls for Animal Science -Equine Emphasis.  There she became a graduate of the Colt Training Program and completed courses in Nutrition, Judging, Riding Inbstruction, Physiology, and Reproduction.  Her techniques for training are centered around patience, trust, and simplicity.  To "reward the slightest try" and to "make the right thing easy and the wrong thing hard."  She has found that every horse has its own personality and own way of learning, and so she changes her program to get the best results out of each one.  Her strongest discipline is Western, but she has some experience in English, as well.  She specializes in starting young horses and working with those with vices and rehabilitation.  She also teaches riding from beginner to coaching for competition.
